In this sixth update for Lasso since it’s release, we bring in the ability to search all posts and pages within the posts modal. We also make bring page creation to the front, and much more!
Post & Page Search
On the last update we brought you the ability to select a post or page from the front-end. With this update we expand on this by introducing a search field to help you better find the content you’re looking to edit.
Create Pages on the Front End
We’ve improved the ability to add posts on the front-end by also including the ability to create pages. It’s as simple as choosing between post or page using the toggle when creating new content.
Developer Meta API
For the geeks in the house, we’ve got something really incredible. We’ve expanded on the Meta API that we introduced a couple updated back, and right now it’s at a point to where you can finally check it out.
We’ll have a post just for you coming up soon, but with the Lasso Meta API you can also create your own custom meta fields that a use access within your own meta options tab. This tab is created and displayed alongside of the the settings modal on a single post. Using this you can have the user fill out whatever meta information you want without having to return to the backend post-editor.
To top it off, integrating with other 3rd party plugins like Yoast SEO, Ninja Forms, ACF, CMB2 are incredibly simple. Those SEO fields in the backend? You can edit those in the front now!
The fun doesn’t stop there! We’ve also fixed some bugs with the Video and Gallery components, components now slide into view when editing, and numerous mobile improvements.
You can get the update automatically within your WordPress admin dashboard, and if you haven’t purchased Lasso, now is the time!
